Are you moving in the right direction in life?

Ever wondered whether you're doing the right thing? It happens often in every upright life. We often wonder if we're moving in the right direction in life, if we're doing what we should do, and other related worries.

The truth is: we can't always be right, and it is not essentially wrong to do the wrong thing so long as the wrong is not deliberate, and so long as it is recognized.

More often than not we err and fail to or find it difficult to admit our mistakes, and to apologize for the harm caused. This is more often than not a product of the drunkenness that is brought about by ego trip.

Mistakes are permitted because of the possibity of them being corrected through regret. Therefore a mistake must be followed by an apology and efforts geared towards its correction. Otherwise, it is wrong. This issue will be treated in a subsequent article under the caption "HUMILITY AND GRAVITY".

As human beings, we are imperfect. Almost like "human" and "imperfect" were synonyms. We are bound to commit mistakes and these can only be made sense of, if the lesson is given its due value. Every event of failure comes with a lesson. It is a complete learning package. Woe betide he who errs without first recognizing their error, then learning and applying the lesson.

As Thomas Edison said:

"I didn't fail a hundred times, I only discovered a hundred ways that wouldn't work."

Considering this brilliant quotation, note should be taken that Edison's failures became a lesson and guide to hundreds of other learners and researchers.

So should our errors guide our methods and shape our lives in the right direction.

"Life is all about having an objective goal and making subjective decisions along the line that guide our choices and clear our paths toward that perceived goal, which is our dream."   N. E. Stan Lee.

Subjective here means making suitable decisions with respect to the prevailing circumstances at any given time. With this in mind, success is but a matter of time.

To summarize this, I will say subjectivity is servant to objectivity. The subject is servant to the object. This is the law. Be objective, and make subjective choices to work towards the accomplishment of your objective goal. Do you want to remain a subjective person who will only be used by the smart as a tool to accomplish their objective goals? This happens to thousands of people as a result of the fear of failure. You can go beyond that. Set your goals, get to work and fear no failure.

Luck' belongs only to the dreamers.
